Lotagen causes vasoconstriction when applied to small blood vessels and thus reduces the bleeding from capillaries in wounds. In old, poorly healing wounds, it selectively coagulates unhealthy tissue while exerting a mild astringent action on healthy tissue. This in turn promotes granulation and epithelisation. Granulation tissue is, however, not overstimulated. Lotagen Gel is strongly bactericidal and fungicidal. Use for the Promotion of healing in fresh or old wounds and ulcers.
