Australian Horse Industry Stocktake

There is limited data on Australian horse owners and the horse industry. This survey seeks to gain more demographic data on horse owners for comparison with the rest of the Australian population. Are horse owners similar or in some ways different from the "average" Australian? The data will be compared with Bureau of Statistics information on the Australian population.

This survey will provide a stock take of the industry and inform policy makers and researchers on important elements.

The Australian Horse Industry Council (AHIC) is continuing to research the horse industry and provide government with strategic advice on industry needs.
